He currently lives and works in Berlin. It would not be possible to immediately label him as a painter, sculptor nor a new media artist owing to his close interest in music, design and other creative fields in addition to visual arts. The output is a body of not-so-easily-definable works blending different visual aspects in collage aesthetics. We could call it the Rockenschaub Planet, if not anything else. And his project for Borusan Contemporary can be considered as Rockenschaub Planet’s take on Istanbul. Before moving on to the exhibition project and its outcome, it would be necessary to talk about the nature of this planet.
