This volume aims to contribute to the field by bringing together archaeologists, Ottoman historians, art historians, and pottery experts who kindly agreed to collaborate in this endeavor. Several studies presented herein make extensive use of Ottoman archival documents and archaeological fieldwork, which enhances the methodological value of this work.
